Astra Ekspor Perdana Avanza ke Timur Tengah
One Auto - Toyota Avanza car manufacturer, PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), today announced the first export to the Middle East. "We officially started to open up export markets in the Middle East with the first fleet of 5,000 units of Avanza intact (completely built up)," said Sudirman, ADM president, in a press conference in Jakarta, Monday, June 16, 2014.

According to Sudirman, residents of the Middle East countries are increasingly showing interest in the car kind of multi-purpose vehicle that is versatile. Thus, the demand for this type of car is increasing. "It also shows that the production vehicle assembly plant in Indonesia already owned ADM global quality," Sudirman said. Since the first production in late 2013 to May 2014, ADM has produced 1,394,954 units of Avanza. A total of 1.18 million of them to satisfy the domestic market, while the remaining 211 thousand units have been exported to 44 countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

"The use of local components native to Indonesia at Avanza cars currently account for 85 percent. We hope the numbers continue to rise," said Sudirman. The workforce in the current ADM reached 487 thousand people.
